• 1. Is KLSMC a hospital?

    Yes, KLSMC is a one-stop private hospital for sports injury with a focus on sports medicine and orthopaedic treatment. Patients can enjoy all the facilities of a world-class hospital such as specialist care, surgical wards, surgery and physiotherapy.

  • 2. Does KLSMC only handle sports medicine cases or can I go there for other conditions?

    KLSMC is a medical centre offering medical and health services in multiple areas. To find a doctor, visit our consultant directory or take a quick tour of the building. Alternatively, you can call our Customer Service desk at +603 2096 1033 for advice.

  • 3. What if I just want physiotherapy treatment?

    All patients will be referred to a doctor to evaluate your case before physiotherapy is recommended. This is to ensure that the correct diagnosis is made and the most appropriate treatment is being given.

  • 4. How long does a session of physiotherapy last?

    It depends very much on each patient’s condition. For a post-surgery case, it may take up to 3 hours. For a general physiotherapy session, it is about 30 to 45 minutes. Shower rooms are available for patient use.

  • 5. Do I need a referral to undergo treatment at KLSMC?

    KLSMC is generally a tertiary referral centre i.e. patients usually come here for a second, third or final opinion. However, we do accept patients who come for first-time consultations.

  • 6. What is the cost for an out-patient visit?

    The cost varies from case to case basis, depending on any lab test done, scan and medication prescribed. Upon consultation, you will be advised on the estimated charges if you are referred for any additional scan or test.

  • 7. Do you provide wheel chair for out-patients coming for their appointment?

    Wheel chair is available at our clinic. Arrangement can be made for our concierge to meet you at our ground floor entrance. Kindly call our general line at +03 2096 1033 prior to arrival.

  • 8. Do you accept Guarantee Letter (GL) for out-patient and in-patient services?

    Yes, only for companies having credit facilities (corporate clients) with KLSMC. Kindly call our Front Desk or Credit Control Department at 03-2089 5263 to confirm your GL validity.

  • 9. How do I apply to be KLSMC’s corporate client?

  • 10. How do I get a medical report for my medical insurance claim?

    You can submit the relevant claim forms or documents to the Front Office of your doctor’s clinic. The Front Office team will coordinate and inform you of the related charges. We will contact you once the forms are ready for collection.

  • 11. How many times do I need to come for follow-up appointment after the surgery?

    It depends very much on the surgery type and patient’s recovery progress. Patients may be required to come for weekly doctor assessment for the first month and daily or alternate day physiotherapy session.

  • 12. On admission, what should I bring?

    We would require the admission letter and your NRIC or Passport for registration. For your own comfort, you may want to bring your own comfortable clothing, reading material, etc. We do provide hospital gown, hair dryer and drinking water to patients. A ‘Pre-Surgery Instruction’ guide will be given to the patient during their pre-operation assessment appointment with a doctor. This is usually done a day prior to surgery.

  • 13. Can I have a companion to stay-overnight with me in the ward after my surgery?

    We have a specially designed sofa that can be converted into a sofa-bed in our Single to Suite Room range. For Double Bedded rooms, companions are not allowed. This is to avoid unnecessary inconvenience to the neighbouring patient.

  • 14. Where can my family and friends eat while they are visiting or staying in with me in the ward?

    The Kita Restaurant offers a wide variety of Fusion menu. They can either choose to dine in the restaurant at Ground Floor or order room service to the room. Menus are provided in the wards.

  • 15. How do I travel to KLSMC via public transportation?

    KLSMC is easily accessible by bus, taxi or Light Railway Transit (LRT) and MRT. The closest MRT station to KLSMC is Semantan Station.The main transit point is at the Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, located in the city. From there, it takes only 5-10 minutes for a taxi ride to reach here. Alternatively, you can choose to take the Rapid KL commuter bus which brings you directly to KLSMC.

  • 16. Where do I keep my valuables while in the ward?

    Patients are advised not to bring valuables if possible. A safety box is available in the ward. However, the hospital is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.

  • 17. Can I smoke in the hospital vicinity?

    Smoking is strictly prohibited in the hospital premises.
