Admission

For inpatient and day surgery admissions, please proceed to our Admission Counter on the 5th floor.

Opening hours: 

0900 to 1700 hours (Monday -Friday)

0800 to 1300 hours (Saturday)

Closed on Sunday and Public Holiday

The below list of items is required for registration purposes upon admittance to KLSMC:

Guarantee Letters (GL)

At KLSMC, we accept Guarantee Letters (GL) from corporate partners and insurance providers who have established credit arrangements with us.

If you are using a Medical Insurance Health Card, we encourage you to pre-register at our Admissions Office once your surgery or procedure is confirmed. This helps us begin the process of securing a Guarantee Letter from your insurance provider on your behalf.

While we’ll do our best to support the approval process, please note that the final decision rests with the insurance company. If the claim is declined, the admission will be considered self-paying, and a full settlement of the hospital bill will be required.

For GLs issued by your employer, we kindly request a deposit if a valid Guarantee Letter cannot be provided at the time of admission.

Upon discharge, any non-covered charges or personal expenses (as outlined in the GL or insurance policy) will need to be settled.

Deposit Information (Self-Paying Patients)

For self-paying patients, a deposit is required prior to admission. This can be made using a bank draft, cash, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or Diners Club). Kindly note that personal cheques are not accepted.

The deposit amount will vary depending on the type of surgery. Once your procedure is confirmed, your Consultant Surgeon will provide an estimate of the expected cost to help you plan ahead.

Deposits will no longer be refunded by cheque. Refunds will be transferred directly to the payor’s bank account.

For Your Comfort During Your Stay

To make your stay more comfortable, we recommend that you bring the following items:

Please avoid bringing valuables or large amounts of cash. Be reminded that the hospital bears no responsibility for the loss of any items.

Patients will be served three meals and one afternoon snack daily. All meals are complimentary and thoughtfully prepared to meet your nutritional and dietary requirements, with respect for your cultural and religious preferences.

Discharge Information

Please proceed to the 5th floor of KLSMC for the Discharge Office.

Our standard discharge time is 12:00 PM (noon).

To help us prepare for incoming patients and ensure a smooth transition, we kindly inform you of the following:

If you plan to be discharged over a weekend or public holiday, we’ll assist by preparing your bill in advance, usually the day before, to ensure a hassle-free process.
