Jaringan khusus ini berfungsi memberikan permukaan yang halus sehingga pergerakan sendi bisa berlangsung mulus tanpa rasa sakit. Berbeda dengan jaringan tubuh lainnya, tulang rawan tidak memiliki pembuluh darah sehingga kemampuannya untuk sembuh secara alami sangat terbatas.<\/p><p>Cedera ini paling sering terjadi pada sendi penopang beban, terutama lutut, meskipun juga bisa muncul pada pergelangan kaki, pinggul, maupun bahu. Bentuk kerusakannya bervariasi, mulai dari retakan kecil hingga potongan tulang rawan yang terlepas, bahkan kadang disertai fragmen tulang di bawahnya (atau dikenal sebagai osteochondral injury).<\/p><p>Dampaknya tidak boleh diremehkan. Meskipun kecil, kerusakan tulang rawan dapat mengganggu mekanisme normal sendi dan mempercepat proses aus seiring waktu. Ada yang merasakan ketidaknyamanan cukup berat. Sementara sebagian lain bisa mengalami kerusakan tulang rawan cukup signifikan dengan gejala yang minimal. tinggi.<\/li><li><strong>Gangguan keselarasan mekanis:<\/strong> seperti kaki berbentuk <em>bow legged<\/em> (kaki O), <em>knocked knee<\/em> (kaki X), atau pergeseran tempurung lutut (<em>patella maltracking<\/em>) yang menimbulkan distribusi tekanan tidak merata pada permukaan sendi.<\/li><li><strong>Kondisi sendi yang mendasari:<\/strong> seperti <li><strong>Usia:<\/strong> tulang rawan secara alami menjadi kurang lentur dan lebih rapuh seiring bertambahnya umur.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Aktivitas olahraga:<\/strong> terutama olahraga dengan benturan tinggi dan banyak gerakan memutar, seperti sepak bola, basket, dan rugby.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Riwayat cedera sendi sebelumnya:<\/strong> misalnya robekan ligamen atau cedera meniskus yang mengubah mekanika sendi.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Tuntutan pekerjaan:<\/strong> pekerjaan yang menuntut sering berlutut, jongkok, atau mengangkat beban berat.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Faktor anatomi:<\/strong> termasuk kelainan bentuk tungkai seperti kaki O (<em>bow-legged<\/em>) atau kaki X (<em>knock-kneed<\/em>).<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Obesitas:<\/strong> berat badan berlebih memberi
