Dato’ Dr. Meheshinder Singh graduated and obtained his MBBS from the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 1993. He subsequently pursued postgraduate studies in General Surgery and obtained his qualifications in 1998 from the
– National University Singapore (M.Med) (Surg) S’pore)
– Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd)
– Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland.(FRCSI)

Dato’ Dr. Meheshinder worked as a Clinical speacilist at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Seremban, from 1998. Subsequently, he did his subspeciality in the field of colorectal surgery in 2001 and trained at the Academy Surgical Unit, Cottingham and University of Hull, UK. wherein he obtained a Fellow in Colon and Rectal Surgery. On returning, He worked as a consultant colorectal surgeon at Hospital Seremban. He left for the private practice in 2004 and has ever since been working at Pantai Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur and Pantai Medical Centre, Cheras.

Dato’ Dr. Meheshinder  is a member of numerous learned societies and professional organizations. He enjoys teaching and has been involved in several GI workshops conducted locally. His speacilised interest include the surgical management of GI cancers particularly colorectal cancers. He has published articles in several local and peer reviewed international journals and book chapters in Recent Advances in Surgery and in the Keighley and Williams – Disease of the Colon and Rectum.

Dato’ Dr. Meheshinder is amongst the founding members of the Malaysian Society of colorectal surgeons (MSCRS) and the is also the founding member of the Colorectal Cancer Survivorship Society Malaysia. (CORUM). He is currently the President of the Colorectal cancer Survivorship Society Malaysia. (CORUM) and the President Elect of the Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons (MSCRS).
